1963 Astrology by Ronald C. Davison – First Edition, Second Printing

Description

Bell Publishing Company, Inc.
First Edition, Second Printing
Illustrated | Original Dust Jacket
175 pages, including index

Astrology is a practical guide to natal astrology, written for readers interested in learning how to cast and interpret their own horoscopes.

The original dust jacket describes the book as “Complete Instructions for Casting Your Own Horoscope.” Davison covers the significance of the signs, planets and houses, along with their delineations. A substantial portion of the book is devoted to step-by-step instructions for setting up and interpreting a horoscope.

Ronald C. Davison was an established figure in British astrology and was associated with the Astrological Lodge of London, serving as its president. This background is interesting in the context of this book, which takes a distinctly instructional approach to the subject rather than simply offering a general introduction.

The copyright page dates this edition to 1963 (MCMLXIII) and identifies it as published by Bell Publishing Company, Inc., a division of Crown Publishers, Inc., by arrangement with Arco Publishing Co., Inc.

Condition: The pages are clean and secure throughout, with the exception of one page with a yellow pen marking. A photograph of this page is included in the gallery for reference. All other pages are clean. The original illustrated dust jacket is present.

175 pages, including index.

A wonderful vintage astrology book, with an especially eye-catching original dust jacket that gives this 1963 volume plenty of character. The combination of its practical approach to horoscope casting, mid-century design and surviving dust jacket makes this a particularly appealing addition to a vintage metaphysical book collection.
