Percy Algernon Taverner (1875–1947) was one of Canada’s foremost ornithologists and the first curator of birds at the National Museum of Canada. His publications helped lay the foundation for the study and conservation of Canadian birdlife.
This second edition of Birds of Western Canada expanded upon the earlier version, offering identification details, distribution notes, and range maps for species found from Manitoba to the Pacific Coast.
