This scarce, charming copy has beautiful illustrated colour plates throughout.
There is some damage needed to note as follows. Boards are edge worn and there is a tear on the head of the upper spine. All pages are present. There is a full hinge split between the front pastedown and endpaper (see image in gallery area). Bottom corner of page 89 – 92 torn off (see image in gallery area). There is also some repair attempted with red tape mid book along the hinge (see image in gallery area).
About the Author:
Juliana Horatia Ewing (Gatty) (18421885) was a writer of children’s stories, daughter of The Rev. Alfred Gatty and Margaret Gatty, also a writer for children.
