Description
A remarkable offering of 11 works by one of British Columbia’s most respected authors, naturalists and conservationists.
This exceptional lot brings together 11 hardcover books by Roderick Haig-Brown (1908–1976), an important voice in Canadian literature and one of British Columbia’s most influential conservationists.

Born in England, Haig-Brown came to British Columbia in the 1920s and eventually settled in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, where he spent much of his life. An accomplished writer, avid fly-fisherman, magistrate and conservationist, he became widely recognized for his writing on the natural world of the Pacific Northwest.
His works explore the rivers, forests, wildlife and salmon fisheries of British Columbia, drawing upon his extensive knowledge of the outdoors and his deep appreciation for the relationship between people and the natural environment. His writing remains an important part of the province’s literary and cultural heritage.
