There was something special about walking to the corner store as a kid and seeing the newest Archie comics waiting on the spinner rack. 😊

When I was growing up, my older brother and I would walk there together with our weekly allowance, and I would almost always spend mine on Archie comics. I still remember flipping through them before we even made it home.
Going through this vintage lot brought all of that rushing back.
This collection includes 31 Archie comics spanning 1975–1986, including issues from Life with Archie, Archie, Everything’s Archie, and Archie’s Pals ’n’ Gals — a mix of late Bronze Age and early Copper Age Riverdale nostalgia.
What struck me most while filming this video was thinking about how long Archie comics remained popular. Decade after decade, people kept returning to these characters and this little world of Riverdale.
Why?
Was it the humour? The familiarity? Betty and Veronica? Jughead? The comfort of always returning to the same characters who somehow never really changed?

For me, there was something comforting about them. The stories were lighthearted and familiar, and honestly… I used to love looking at Veronica’s outfits. 👗 👠 👜 ✨
Even now, these comics still carry a certain feeling with them. They bring people back to corner stores, after school reading, trading comics with friends, and those small everyday routines that somehow stayed memorable years later.

I’d genuinely love to hear other people’s memories of Archie comics too. What drew you into Riverdale, and why do you think these comics stayed loved for so many decades?
