This 25-piece Rune set is hand-carved by Ashley at Ash Tree Runes (a branch of Ash Tree Books 📚), using 970 carats of natural Lapis Lazuli with visible inclusions of natural gold pyrite—a stone long recognized for its depth of colour and enduring symbolic presence.

Lapis Lazuli is known for its rich ultramarine blue, often interwoven with flecks and veins of golden pyrite. This natural contrast has long drawn comparisons to a night sky illuminated with distant stars. Historically, it has been associated with vision, knowledge, and a connection to something beyond the immediate. Its name, derived from the Arabic and Persian lāzaward, translates to “sky” or “heaven,” reflecting this enduring association.
