(=①ω①=) …when life sprays chaos, resilience rises ……..
Last night, instead of eating at the dining table, I had dinner with my kids out on the trampoline. Our dining room is still in pieces from scrubbing, priming, and painting, so we decided to turn a bad situation into something fun.

That “bad situation” started when chaos walked right through our pet door. In the middle of the night, a strange cat came into our house and sprayed all over — the dining room, living room, and hallway. The smell was overwhelming, and I spent the night scrubbing floors and walls until 4 a.m., wondering if it might even turn into an insurance claim.
By morning, I was exhausted — but also struck with an important reminder. In Rune wisdom, there’s a symbol for this exact kind of disruption: Hagalaz.
Hagalaz, which translates to hail, is the first Rune of Hagal’s Aett. This family of Runes speaks to the unavoidable disruptions in life — change, stalled progress, and the storms that sweep in whether we invite them or not. Hagalaz teaches that resistance is futile; some forces cannot be controlled. Instead, we find resilience by breathing through the chaos and trusting that it will pass.
As I filmed this, I felt called to share a message someone needed to hear:
Resilience isn’t built in comfort. It’s built in chaos. Breathe. Return to center. You’ve got this. Hail is temporary.
Of course, my situation wasn’t life-altering — it was just cat spray. But the Rune reminded me that whatever the scale of disruption, the lesson is the same: patience, perseverance, and noticing whatever light is still around you.

✦ Practical Solution ✦ (≧◡≦)
I made a separate video just to cut straight to the solution, for anyone going through a similar situation and looking for a practical fix.
On the practical side — I did find something that worked. After rounds of scrubbing and painting, Nature’s Miracle was what finally lifted the smell and saved my hardwood floors (something I had invested in heavily). We’re also replacing our pet door with one that works with a magnetic collar, so only our cat can come through. I’ve linked both below in case it helps anyone facing a similar situation.
These products helped save my sanity — and solve our cat spray odor problem. I was really worried about the hardwood floors, but Nature’s Miracle did the job and it’s safe for kids and pets.

This experience — frustrating as it was — gave me a chance to embody what Hagalaz teaches: chaos comes, but resilience rises.
